Ep47 - First Episode from North Brunswick
June 23, 2006 06:00 AM PDT
The main host of the SGL Podcast is SheepGuardingLlama. Well, after 71 days the show is back on the air. Scott records the first show from the apartment in North Brunswick, NJ. It is very late at night as Scott records and gets the show back on track. It is very late, the super loud air conditioner is running and Scott is very tired but at least the show is being produced. A lot has been happening so tune to catch back up. Beatrice Ericsson - Put A Little Love

Surprise, surprise, the podcast is back on the air - only now from New Jersey! Scott has a new job and is living in New Jersey, of all places. Tune in to find out all of the latest happenings. This is the one podcast being made in the Clarion Suites in Somerset, NJ. Music includes: Katy Pfaffle - Someday

Okay, this particular episode is really bad. I was both tired and distracted and had to take a really long break in the middle of recording the show and completely lost my train of thought. But at least it is pretty short and there is some really good music to make up for it. My dad just bought a new 37" 1080p High Definition HDTV and I talked a little about hi-def television and sources like Microsoft's WDVHD which is looking pretty hot. I can't wait to start seeing stuff come out on really high quality Xvid! Check out this episode's artists: Beatrice Ericsson with I Walked Away

I recorded the show and I honestly don't remember what I talked about. How awful is that. Well I guess you will just have to listen to it to find out more. Bob sent in his semi-regular comments that I added to the show. I do know what music I played, however: Reach Out by Beatrice Ericsson

On January 17th, just three days ago, Benjamin Franklin would have celebrated his 300th birthday. Happy Birthday today to Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon. In this episode Scott looks at the recent CNN coverage of American college students who fail to have fundamental life skills and yet are graduating from college and univeristy. Scott also talks about the model railroading industry and gives a comparison of the economics and how it is different from the high fidelity audio hobby's economic model and why model railroading is going to die if they don't work out a new model quickly. In this episode we hear: Amy Ayers with My Place

Podcast SummarySince 2001 SheepGuardingLlama.com has been the blog and online diary of Scott Alan Miller. Beginning in 2005, Scott wanted to add an additional feature to the site - Podcasts. Now you can listen to the SGL Podcast right here! About ScottI am a technology consultant. I am currently living in North Brunswick, New Jersey but have lived in Rochester and Ithaca, NY, Pittsburgh and both the MD and VA sides of Washington, DC for my work. I have been a serious blogger since 2000 and you can check out my daily updated blog, Sheep Guarding Llama at www.sheepguardingllama.com. If you got there, there are feeds for the podcast in higher quality than on Podomatic as well as a video feed that is pretty sporadic and a Flickr image feed. Because I live a strange lifestyle, work odd hours and a lot of them, travel extensively and relocate on a regular basis I find my blog/podcast is an important medium for communicating to my friends and family and giving everyone a means to keep up with me. I grew up in Upstate NY just a little way south of Rochester not too far from Buffalo. I moved to Flint, Michigan for college in 1994 but dropped out and returned to Rochester in 1996. In 2000 I moved to Ithaca then on to Pittsburgh. Back to Ithaca and then on to Alexandria, VA. In 2001 I returned to Ithaca and then later in the year went down to Annapolis, MD. I was between MD and Ithaca until 2003 when I moved to Geneseo, NY and got married to Dominica who you hear sometimes on the podcast. Now my work has taken me to just outside of Manhattan so we are adjusting to life in New Jersey. Fans of this ShowFavorite LinksScott's Friends
